StockCruncher is a Windows tool for creating and viewing stock presentations. We use it to organize our research for on-line voting. The program allows you to enter raw data for a stock, and it does a lot of the number crunching for you. Follow these instructions to load the application onto your PC:


First time installation

1. Decide where on your PC you would like to store the program. Any place on a local drive is fine. For example you may want to create a new folder under "Program Files".
   
   
2. Click on the above link to Cruncher.exe and choose "Save program to disk". Browse to the location you selected in the previous step.
   
   
3. Create a shortcut by right clicking on the desktop area and selecting New/Shortcut. Browse to the Cruncher.exe file. This should create an icon with the FVIT logo on your desktop.
   
   
4. Run the program using the new shortcut icon. Experiment with the program and try saving and loading a practice file. This will register the application for the ".stk" file type.
   
   
5. When voting on stocks you can now click on presentation links to automatically launch StockCruncher. You can also create your own presentations and submit them for vote.

1. Click on the above link to Cruncher.exe and choose "Save program to disk". Download the file to replace the existing program on your PC.
   
   
2. Use the shortcut on your desktop to be sure the program still runs. Select Help/About to verify that you are now using the lastest version.
