The Fox Valley Investment Team is an investment club located in the northwest suburbs of Chicago, Illinois.  We began operations in July 1995.

Organization

The company is registered as a partnership with Kane County.  Membership is limited to twelve.  Ownership of the club is divided into shares, allowing members to make varying contributions.  We maintain funds in an account with a broker under the name of the club.  All members participate in our investment operations.  Investment decisions are made by the group using our automated web site.  We meet every two months to discuss market conditions and policy improvements.  Profits are taxable as personal income. 

Investment Philosophy

We invest in common stock of small domestic companies with strong potential for growth, and accept above average risk to pursue greater rewards.  Our investment style is aggressive with emphasis on research in order to take advantage of the team's combined talent and resources.  We concentrate on good stock selection rather than broad diversification.  Trading is relatively fast, with investment durations typically on the order of months.  We continually strive to improve our investment policy by analyzing past stock transactions. 

Traveling Trophy

Individual performance is rewarded with a very nice trophy.  Each year it is passed along to the new winner and his or her name is engraved on the award for posterity.
